Sustainability

Our proactive approach to climate action sets us apart. In 2021, Oriental Press became the first printer in the region to comprehensively assess its carbon footprint. We have maintained rigorous annual emission tracking every year since. Building on this extensive data, in 2025 we formally developed our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) carbon reduction plan, establishing a structured roadmap to align our operations with global climate goals.

Through these ongoing efforts, we have already successfully achieved a 22% reduction in paper-related carbon emissions, proving that our commitment to a low-carbon future is backed by real, measurable results.

The company integrates environmental responsibility directly into its corporate governance through several core initiatives:

  • ISO 14001 Framework: Operational workflows adhere to an internationally recognized Environmental Management System to systematically reduce resource waste.
  • FSC® Certification: Print materials are sourced from responsibly managed forests that provide clear environmental, social, and economic benefits.
  • Eco-Friendly Inks: Printing production utilizes vegetable-based inks to lower volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions compared to traditional petroleum solvents.
